Oh i definately think they can! If anyone believes in spirits (not ghosts) its supposed that dogs and cats can sense spirits in the room. And they can tell what mood most people are in, sometimes easier than we can determine another persons feelings.

I believe so; some of their senses are more highly developed than ours and that accounts for some of what they can sense.

My friend on the other hand, says that their dogs will follow something at the foot of her bed. She just tell "it" to stop it, because the dogs start whining.
