best asian movie you've watched?

i've been getting into asian dramas/movies lately, and am wondering if anyone knows of some really good ones?
so far, the saddest ones i've seen are "koizora" and "wind struck".
the funniest is a kdrama called "attack on the pin up boys".

I can name a few Japanese animated movies but no live action movies, sorry. Let me know if you're interested in the anime ones though, I'll try find some good ones for you.

I watch Indian movies.

Lagan, Khabi Kushi Kabhie Gham, Slumdog Milionare, Guru, The Partition, Rang De Basanti, Jodhaa Akbar, Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenga

I saw one about daemons in China, not the best, but the latest one ive seen.

lol, most I mentioned aren't in English. I think only the partition is after slumdog.

Though...try watching one in Hindi, the first one I mentioned to start of with...funny that sometimes you don't need to understand the words to know what's going on.

I'll look up some indian movies that are in English, lol.

I watched one recently called Re-cycle that was just strange and really good.

Moon Child is one of the greatest i've seen, and it truly has nothing to do with Hyde and Gackt being in it. It just grabs your heart and won't let go.
A friends mom started to watch it with us and was kind of turned off because it was in Japanese. I thought I heard her sighing and getting annoyed and she had gotten up, when she sat back down I realized she had tears running down her face, and she had gotten up to get a tissue haha..
