Wouldn't that Be Something!!!!!

In the early years of the United States it was the custom for the winner of an election to be president and the loser or 2nd place participant to be the vice-president. Can you even imagine the years when we had Clinton/Bush, Clinton/Dole, Bush/Gore, Bush/Kerry and now Obama/McCain. There would be some exciting times. Your thoughts?

I think that we're in an era of such vehement partisan politics that nothing would ever get done.

I thought it was the second place person from the primaries, not the loser of the general election. That would currently give us an Obama/Clinton ticket.

In the early years for instance, when Washington was elected he ran against John Adams and Adams lost so he was the vice president. They changed that law in 1804.
