Willi Appreciation Day

Okay, I decided it's time to start this.

Not enough people get appreciated around here (no offense Dave, my friend, but too many threads are dedicated to you). And honoring someone for their birthday is kind of a dubious honor, because, well, everyone has one whether they deserve it or not.

For the course of the remaining year (or as long as I can stand it), every few days I will create a thread that dedicates a day to a reg in this forum, chosen out of pure randomness. (Well, okay, semi-randomness. And don't worry Dave, you'll get yours.)

You posters say whatever you want that would make the person feel good for the rest of the day and beyond. You may also do a little roasting, of course, but keep it in well-meaning humor and not to derail the intent of this thread.

I have to start with Willi here, since he was pretty much the first person I met in here when I first signed on in January.

Willi, you seem to be a cool, friendly guy and one that always has a interest in what others say, showing an inquisitive approach to topics that is neither clueless nor aloof, but rather refreshing. It is always fun discussing topics with you no matter how deep it is. It is certainly a joy to see you around here usually when I am on.

Dang, Leon - this was a grand idea.
Think people were just sooo busy, that's why there was no response. Better late then never, though.


Willi, don't know you that well, but I do know that
your posts show that you are an intelligent poster on TFS.
Your posts always make me think, and you always respond insightfully to the topic of the moment.

Willi's great. He was among my first five friends here and usually you can find some wry humor in his posts, and he's able to have a contrary view on something and state his opinion without being a jerk

Lmao, how did you find this? I remember trying this, and, of course, nobody responded, so I ended it, not wanting to embarrass anybody further with empty dedication threads. Glad Willi here is getting recognized tho. Better late than never.

He reared his butt in here briefly a few days ago when Eaglebauer made a "friends checking on friends" phone call.

I love Willi, I dont agree with him most of the time but I would be sad to not have him around. He is a good bloke.
