Why does it?
It never tells me when the WLM contacts are online accurately, people talk to me before they have signed in at times, messages don't arrive and take forever to do so randomly. It seems there are major issues with this feature even though they have had it for i think about a year now.
I can't use WLM because of a computer error and Yahoo still works for some reason. I need to stay in contact with my friends and the telephone isn't really an option (i dn't like having ten minute conversations in the living room with my mum sitting opposite me :/ )
My friends dont seem to believe in reading email and refuse to migrate to an alternate messenger

So why don't you get Yahoo?

I agree though, MSN/Yahoo is s***, I don't know why they say it works because it doesn't.

I have trouble believing you read my OP?
I said my it doesn't work because of my computer problems (which I admit are my own fault but I really don't have the money for a new operating system disk so I can repair them).

If it annoys you that much, why not use a web based Messenging client like iloveim?

Yeah it sucks, but at least it's accurate in telling you when someone comes online.

OK so I accidentally skipped a sentence. No need to be like that.

Of course it annoys me, it's so slow that someone can connects and disconnect before my message arrives, wouldn't that be annoying to you?
And no, I really cannot stand those things. I have reasons but they involve too many people wanting to talk to me and then I sound like a misanthropic loser.

Sorry, I'm frustrated with someone and their ignorance. this mild incident on top of that got to me even though you don't even know what I'm talking about.
sorry

Well yeah, but then again there's always the element of surprise
Tbh I don't use Instant messaging that much these days.
I was only trying to help though, no need to get so aggressive about it.

You sounded like you were criticising me for expecting too much of the program.
I read too quickly and type responses just as quickly

I wasn't, merely offering advice if the problem is that worthwhile to worry about. You know if you're that bothered about speaking to people you could always just actually talk to them anyway.
I suggest you don't take everything so personally.

Meh, better things to avoid doing.

I suggest you stop reading my messages with a sarcastic tone in your head, that last message wasn't meant to be offensive, was merely explaining what happened in my mind when i read the first message you posted, sorry.

You could simply revert to those earlier means of communication, so prevelent in the days before there were any computers.... like, carrier-pidgeons!, or exchanging books with coded messages that are formed by using the text of the book; morse-code; kite-flying; two-flag signaling.
