I like contemporary literary works as opposed to genre fiction, but my favorite in genre fiction would be general fiction.

How on earth did you make it through school? I always had books to read for class.

I've noticed I read a lot of historical fiction, but much of my collection is pretty diverse.

I like historical fiction but it's hard to actually find books in that genre for some reason. Mind you I don't like books about war which rules out like half of the books in the genre.

I really enjoy books by Albert Camus which have a absurdest vs externalist take on them but i really love stories about mental hospitals. Girl Interrupted!

One of my favorite fiction authors is Alice Hoffman. I started by reading her book "Practical Magic" and loved all her works!

I don't usually have much difficulty finding good historical fiction, and I avoid war books as well.

Camus, I'm impressed! Have you read much Sartre? The Magus is a good book if you like existentialism as well.
