There is a country outside london..

I read the blogs my CEO puts every week on the intranet, i cant for secruity reasons tell much about what is said but i can tell you that every single on of them is about london this that or the other... but it doesnt stop there, the news is about london most of the time, london has the lime light in the UK, but we all live 100's miles away and couldnt give a toss.

It seems that most businesses think that the money is in london, and yet when you look at the sales figures of the country in you line of business london comes in the middle. so its not really all about london.

Politics seem to be run on what a average london person does, and not what the welsh or scotish people do hell, even north england the and the south west. we all run our lives completely different.

I know London is the capitial city and all, but its not the UK.

You may not. London has a very big knock on effect to what happens where I live.

What about things like the stock market and the banks etc??? Most being based in London.

Your right, im not in the banking industry and its america that has the knock n effect. They just happen to be based in london.. you'll find most head offices of comapnies aint in london.

If everything was based in Wales and the people that live there it would make no sense.

yes most of this countries interest lies in london, but we are not alone there, on a recent trip to italy when we stayed in naples, most people could only talk about rome. the capital is always the place to be, which is shame for originally before moving to london we lived in manchester which is a wonderful city, and then there is edinburgh and cardiff, dublin, and belfast, all well worth a visit. and actually there was as much to see of value in naples, e.g. pompeii, herculaeneum, mount vesuvius, etc, as in rome.

Nope not saying that, all im trying to say is when something implemented in London people have got to remember it doesnt always work in the rest of the UK...

if it works in london then it probably works in se england, where there is the highest concentration of people!

I think they do Mark. Infact I think you are reading way to much into it.

Im sure the people that by your words "base statistics" etc on people living in London dont assume thats what its like everywhere. Hence it being a stat and it would also be very niave.

South england had About 8million people minus that from the rest of the uk... your looking at nearly 52million people short... density of area a side, thats alot of people not catered for..
