Ahh if you want someone scenic I would suggest Derbyshire dales, Yorkshire dales or new forest.

New Forest?

My friend and I have been talking about going away for the weekend this weekend, we just have no idea where to go.

I'm making a list of places that we could go as a possibility so would like some suggestions please.

The Peak District is nice, ive been to the highest pub, i think it was called The Barrel Inn and it was bloody high up.
A load of people were treking all the way up to it with snow on the ground (idiots :lol
I drove up in a nice warm car, and they had a huge, open, roaring fire when we got up there.

What is you budget? Do you want to travel abroad? Or, keep it cheap and do a staycation?

I love the sound of the log fire! We've said so many times that we're going to stay in a cabin for a few days, it's no good just for a weekend though as it's too expensive and most are a minimum of 3 nights stay.

The pub actually had cabins around the back that you could rent, thats all there is at the very top, a pub and some cabins as far as the eye can see.
Walkers trek up there and rent a cabin

It's lovely there, you can row a boat on the river, see Shakespeare's house, if i remember rightly there is a butterfly farm too. Plus you're not too far from the Cotswolds

I'd love to do that for a week, but it's too expensive for just two of us.
