Anyone else get surprised when Vampire Weekend got popular? Not to slag of the general public but they just don't seem like the type of band that the general public would embrace so much. I got such a shock when they just suddenly blew up!

Ya it was surprising. I read some reviews of Vampire Weekends new song Horchata and it doesn't look like it's going to be received as well... I'm still gonna buy their new album in january tho
I think they really got big because of their songs in movies. Like "A-punk" was right at the beginning in step brothers. And there's alot of their songs on I love you, man. It seems they're in a lot of Paul Rudd movies.

There are so many albums out next year I can't wait for actually. Frightened Rabbit's new one is shaping up well, can't wait for more from The National and The Hold Steady never disappoint.
