Screws

Anyone know how to screw a screw into a wall? Been trying for ages to get it in with no luck, anyone got any tips?

um use a drill and a wall plug thing that isn't called a wall plug.

drill a hole smaller than the screw and then tread the screw in

I don't have a drill unfortunately. All I have is a screw and a knife which I'm sort of using as a screwdriver.

What kind of material is the wall?
Usually is not that hard.

Wooden wall, can't afford to buy a screw driver or anything like that.

It's kind of annoying really, would think it would be easy/the people I pay rent to every week would have tools.

A nail would probably work better.

Seriously, you're on a road to nowhere here. Go to B&Q and buy a cheap drill, screwdriver bits, and some drill bits. Or borrow a neighbors.

If I lived closer, I'd bring mine over.

wood walls you really need to drill a hole first. unless you have a wood screw that will cut it's own hole. other wise you might be out of luck. how much are screw drivers? i can buy one for a few dollars.
