I filed my back in February. I got a freaking big bill. I can pay it all, but not right now. So I want the 120 day extension they offer. That'll take me through to August 15. That oughta do it, I think.

But no. I call them, waaaaaay in advance of April 15, and get told it's only 120 day from the day that I call, not from April 15. If I want it extended to August 15, I gotta call on April 15th.

That's right - they are actually giving incentive for people to put off calling until April 15. The busiest day of the year for the IRS. And now guess what? That's right, for the last 2 solid days I haven't been able to even get into the queue, never mind frakking talk to someone.

Aaarrrrghhhhhhh! What a stupid system! I was completely on top of taxes, as I always bloody am, and I'm still caught up in the last minute rush.

That's messed up! Sorry to hear they're screwing you. I've found that dealing with the government just to bend over and expect to take it.

Yeah, I stocked up on KY Jelly at the weekend, so I'm hoping it won't hurt too bad.
