I don't understand how people can be anti-abortion due to the whole "Pro-life" thing yet still eat meat.

Seems to be a contradiction in terms to me.

Probably has something to do with these people placing a different importance on "human life" than "cows."

Just a guess.

Probably because the fetus has no choice but a criminal has had choices albeit the wrong choices.

I don't understand how people can be "pro-life" with regards to abortion anyway.

A lot of people disagree with that.

This is a bit off topic, but it has sure been awhile since an abortion thread was made!

Well I'm against the death penalty but the last figure we had here in the US was that 40,000,000 abortions have occured since Roe V Wade in the early '70s. I seriously doubt that many criminals have been executed since the '70s.

I just think it's a strange view for people to not want a group of embryo's terminated, but find it ok to kill animals that actualy live.

Im not saying don't eat meat, or don't kill animals. I'm just saying that they should have some consistency. If someone calls themself "Pro-life" they should support the survivol of all life forms including animals...and maybe even plants. Afterall, plants probably have more conscience than a fetus.

Only if you place the same importance on a human being as you do on a chicken.

You want to equate "human fetus" with "farm animal" here and force people to act accordingly. You'll never convince anyone that a human fetus and a farm animal are on the same level morally speaking.. and, even though I don't consider myself pro-life, I consider the idea repugnant.
