For prizes like this, you get charged in the neighborhood of 50% for tax. So you win a prize valued at $1075, be prepared to pony up $500 or so come tax time.

I think this dinner with Obama sweepssteaks is about the strangest gimmick i have heard a politiian pull for contrabutions. Granted , I have heard of every thing every one running for office has pulled over the years so this maybe something normal .
It will be interesting to hear how much it raises the the two weeks the entry forms are to be sent in.

In a way it is a great idea he gets lots of 10 20 and 50 dollar donations. Most people could never afford buying a diner ticket to see him.

I posted a link in a thread the other day that said he had made a few million in a certain amount of time and the majority of the money came in amounts smaller than $200 or $250 dollars. i don't remember exactly now.
