A team of scientists from Italy and Sweden has developed what is believed to be the first artificial hand that has feeling.

It has been attached to the arm of a 22-year-old man who lost his own hand through cancer.

I think that's great. It's amazing what can be done with modern technology.

That's great. I'm glad someone has been working on a project like that.

You can mock it all you want. It's going to happen. And then you'll say "Oh, wasn't this only supposed to happen in the movies?" If we give them intelligence, the act of thinking, reasoning, or whatever, they're going to be smart enough to realize that they can survive without us.

Dont forget about the blind people they gave "sight" to by wiring cameras to their visual cortex.

And all manner of robotic limbs...brain-to-computer and brain-to-brain interfaces that allow paralzyed people to control computers with their minds, and even allow for a primitive form of "assisted telepathy". And did I mention the US government is spending millions of dollars researching the latter? (which will probably work)

I suffer from what I can only explain as 'accidental telepathy.'
