well originally punk celebrated equality and racial harmony between blacks and whites. also anarchy is like communism in that it believes in no borders or state. punk celebrated both of these and alot more besides. so what do you think?

I think they both have similar ideas, but not exactly the same thing.

no, punk illustrates a discontentment with the way society functions,
anarchy is a wish for complete abandonment of society.
punks can be anarchists but it doesn't necessarily or in my opinion even usually go hand in hand.

ararchy is completly idiotic, thats why

Not necessarily.

You get racist punks, communist punks, anarchist punks, socialist punks and even capitalist punks.

Loads of punks who couldn't give two s***s about politics too I reckon. Personally I'm all for the socialism.

personally I think its more about the idea of freedom and living by your own rules. I think that many of the ideals of anarachy are a part of punk but I do not believe that anarachy itself is. Anarchy comes from two latin words, anon, no, and arch, king. In my opinion that's what it should be about and what punk is about, no rulers. Everyone is equal.

And communism has some sound ideals but ultimately is doomed to failure just like anarachy. I don't believe that the government should own everything and I do believe in personal belongings but I also believe we as a society would benefit from a common wealth and the "take what you need" ethic. But communism results in giving everything to the gov and raising the select elite to power while everyone else suffers and it usually results in fascism, screw that.

I believe that Punk should have some sort of political involvement but it can also exit without it, usually the people involved in Punk feel strong about their political stand point and that's good, but the music itself can be about anything.

Not nessacarily...

punks are usually assoiated with anarchy because of thier "f*** sociaty" ideas however anarchy often goes deeper then just -- we want chaos

No.

For example, you have SHARP (Skinheads Against Racial Prejudism), and you have Combat 18. They both like the same punk music.. but they're opposite when it comes to politics.

You get anarcho-punks.
Commie-punks.
Nazi-punks.
Nationalist-punks.
Couldn't-give-a-toss-about-politics-at-all-and-just-want-to-enjoy-the-music-punks.

Etc, etc.

alot of people associate anarchy with punk, and really, anarchy is just a trend in the punk scene. Keep in mind that punk is against trends. So what does that mean? Most people do not fully understand what anarchy would mean for the world. It would be a world you wouldn't want to live in, trust me. But punx who don't fully understand what anarchy is are actually posers. Punk IS NOT about anarchy, it's just popular to beleive in, just like it's popular to be Christian, most people don't actually know what to think, so they just follow the trends. It's f***in pathetic.
