G20 Protests

I guess they are about to start. I feel sorry for those who want a peaceful protest, i get the feeling that with all the exposure on possible rioting it will attract those who just want some violence against the police.

The police are going to lock down london if anything kicks off. SO anyone working there will be trapped and nobody will be able to get in.

I am all for a peaceful protest, even if i dont agree with their politics and i dont think protests do anything anyways. But its sad that schools and businesses are having to close for 2 days just because of the chance of rioting.

Besides isnt G20 supposed to be working out ways of improving things?

And they are going to protest outside the American embassy, when our troops are being withdrawn, Obama has closed down Gitmo and is working on a resolution anyways

It's that old thing about not being able to please all of the people...etc., isn't it? There will always be the ingrate brigade or the contrarians. I'd just like to see some changes that would benefit everybody.

I think if they didnt plaster the fact that there will be protests all over the press, less people would be aware and there would be less daytrippers coming to london just to smash some windows and throw s*** at the police.
