Error message grrrr!

ok so i bought a few games today and when i try and install one i get this message

C:WINDOWSSYSTEM32|AUTOEXEC.NT. The system file is not suitable for running MS-DOS and Microsoft Windows applications. Choose 'close' to terminate the application

so i went and someone gave me a link and i got stuck on this part

18. Locate the Command.com file, right-click the expanded Command.com file, and then click Copy.

where the heck is the Command.com file? if someone could help with either of these id be very very greatful.

but could you also have used to command prompt on your computer????

i have no idea i just used a windows repair kit i found on the interweb lol

so where was it that you went to find out how to fix that because i get that problem sometimes but i just figured it meant that program wasnt able to run on my computer (it only happens on programs i downloaded using a p2p program so i had no way of knowing what operating system that program was meant for)
