Day Light Saving

Day light saving starts here tonight

I don't really like it that much.
We live in one of the hottest parts of the country & the sun is going down at 8:30 9pm in the middle of summer,we don't need the extra time out here.

I can unserstand people who live near the coast loving it though

qld's thinking about trying it but most opposition is 'cos we've got plenty of sunshine already, thanks very much.

getting dark here at about 7pm and bright around 8.30am daylight savings dosn't ,make a huge differerence

Daylight Savings Time starts for me Sunday morning. I like the beginning of it now because I have to get up at 5:45 AM for school so it isn't as dark in the morning.

I like it because it's not so dark when I wake up, so it's easier to get out of bed. And, I get an extra hour to my weekend

Of course it's also darker when I come home, but meh. I like the dark

I love it, I love the hot arvo's when it stays lighter for longer.

I'm kinda not fussed -

daylight savings back home in Melb was great because it made the most of whet little happy summer weather we got - used to love those long summer evenings.....

but up here it's beautiful all the time - ALL THE TIME - in fact it's unrelenting - so I understand the question "why would we want more of it?"

hell, in summer we spend most of our time locked up in the air conditioning 'cos its 30C at night with 95% humidity and 35C in the day with 95% humidity

Its the winter here and right now if we didnt go to daylight savings it would be dark by 5 pm!!

I loved it when i was a N.S.W person i still had daylight for a few hours when i got home, but now i`m a QLDer and work different hours i couldn`t care less. My sister hates it,they live in NSW but hubby works in QLD,the family have to eat without dad because it is seven o`clock when he gets home.

I hate the dark days I feel like mushroom, when I lived in the uk it made me suicidal, all you brits where great but I just could'nt cope with it

AHHHHH I hate the winter nights, all dark and gloomy. It feels like I spend all my time in work as it's just bout light when I leave for work in the mornings and it's dark when I come home. I don't feel like doing anything except going to bed
