Lab chimps see the light of day for the first time ever

After being imprisoned for 30 years being experimented on and never being allowed tactile contact with people, these chimps finally get to go outside... and play.

Interesting how they walk upright quite a bit more than I'd expect, though I guess that's because they were permenantly around their handlers inside.

That's both beautiful and heartbreaking to see. The poor things shouldn't be experimented on in the first place. Imagine not being able to see daylight for most of your life?

totally agree, quite tearful to see their uncertain joy at their new experience. very sad that they should have been locked away to start with but its lovely that they will see some daylight and hopefully be happy and secure for their retiring years
