Hey Im looking into buying a new dvd-RW drive, and I wanted to know if anyone knew the difference between dual layer and normal drives.

Dual layer is the new 8.5 gigabyte disks. The other burners burn standard 4.7 gigabyte disks. All dvds that you buy are going to be 8.5 disks so if you get a 4.7 type then you will have to lower quality to fit it all on a single disk or burn two dvds for one movie.
