Would you buy a car from a used car salesman or a private owner?

Yes. In fact I've never bought a brand new car.

I never have either, and doubt I ever will.

Honestly I think a car is a pretty poor investment. I have been tempted to buy a brand new car but I decided it's not really worth it. I don't need the status symbol.

I've bought from a dealer. All you have to do is say "no" and get up from his desk, and you'll get it for what you want to pay. Don't feel bad. You're the customer. The dealer's the a*****e. You got to mean it though. Just remember there's always another car, always another dealer, and always the right price.
