BULLs***. The "S" is over here, and the "B" is over there. Now if it had said ovama. or ogama... maybe i'd believe it, but a typo that isn't anywhere near the letter next to it -- is bs.

What do you think of McCains party's attempt to associate Obama's name to terrorism and "extremists" and all that jazz?

Pretty low and desperate, aint it?

Only in the usa you can have people running for the highest political office and not give a clue on how they plan to run their country. Insults don't make things better, only people do.

Wow, that happened where I live.

The GOP had nothing to do with this. Blaming "McCain's party" is stupid.

I've lived here, in the county where this happened, for 9 years now.

This is a pretty Democratic county. It only has 150,000 people total.

I assure you that "McCain's party" doesn't have any secret agents installed on the local board of elections. It would seem like a huge waste of time and effort to insidiously plant GOP operatives on the board of a small Democratic county in a state that will unquestionably be giving its electoral votes to Obama come November.

I can also assure you that there are a lot of minimally-educated idiots in this relatively impoverished county, and it does not surprise me one bit that a dumb mistake like this would slip through.

And John McClain isn't guilty of anything that underhanded. OMG I did it too. It's John McCain. I wouldn't want to confuse him with an action hero. He was a POW because he got caught. I was there for 9 months and never even got close to being caught, shot at but not caught.

that actually happened?

oh my god, i wonder if that'd be enough to sway anybody on voting day?
it'd be an interesting experiment if the stakes weren't so high.

These were just the absentee ballots, FWIW. I doubt if there are that many of them.

Could have been the work of one single person, not the "whole committee".

But the fact is, McCains attempts to insinuate that Obama is some sort of wild-eyed terrorist in hiding is pretty pathetic.

Look at the rally's. People yelling "Treason!", "Behead him!" "Kill him", or that "hussein" comment, i mean it's pretty obvious that the McCain campaign is working to promote some sort of witch-hunt mentality. Anyone who doesn't see that ... is just plain (uh, may i quote jonnythan...?) dumb.

I get visions of people in the old days yelling "kill him!", "burn him!", "hang him!". this is a vigilante mentality, and we all know it.

McCain is certainly trying to make people scared of Obama, but this typo on an absentee ballot sent to a couple thousand people max is not evidence of that or an effect of that.

Kinda off topic but not really, it is along the same lines, I over heard a guy talking here at work, McCain fan obviously, he said "ever notice how Obama and Bidin sound like Osama Bidladin" I had to walk away, I thought what BS..

Not off topic at all Betty. It is the point. They are trying to associate Obama's name to "terrorists". This is the saddest political move I've ever seen.

I know people who are not voting for him for that very 'reason' - throw in the Hussein and it's even worse.
I do think it is very odd that the names all mesh together like that - but it definately isn't defining who they are.
