An interesting new observation.....

Over recent months, I've taken a few steps to improve my appearance.... new hair color, clothes, etc. Overall, I feel pretty damn good for a woman that's nearly 40. I'm thinner than my teenage daughter, shorter too... we are mistaken for friends or sisters quite often.

This morning at the grocery store the 18ish cashier (an adorable boy, tall, dark hair & eyes, the oh my gosh, I wish I were 18 again kinda cutey....) ....anyway, he was flirting heavily with me..... not my daughter who is closer to his age... but ME. An observation not lost on anyone.

Ok, I know I'm old enough to be that kids Mom, but this happens often, at least it's started to for me. These adorable boys (I don't find them attractive in a sexual sense, they're too young for my taste) are flirting and actually hitting on me..... it feels GREAT. I wasn't the girl who had that as a teenager and now, oh my goodness, what an ego boost. I find myself smiling and flirting back, much to the delight of my daughter, by the way.

So do the delicious bag boys or waiters or pizza delivery guys.....flirt with you? How do you feel and react? Just wondering.....

I went to buy Kerrang in Sainsbury's once and spent about 10 minutes chatting to the guy who served me about the bands I liked... he was hot but I never saw him again! *Tear*

It certainly is a thrill for this old girl. Fun to think about, certainly a boost for my self-esteem. It's wonderful to know that I don't look my age on the outside, I certainly don't feel it on the inside.
