NETWORKING NIGHTMARE

Hi was wondering if anyone could help me urgently i have just had btyahoo broadband installed on my pc and im having trouble networking it to my laptop via a laptop adaptor, i insert the disk and it says i need ie 5.5 or higher, so i go to the microsoft site to download ie6 and it says newer version already installed can anyone tell me what seems to be the prob
my laptop is an advent and im running windows XP2 home

i would appreciate any help thanks in advance

i don't know if i understand exactly what you're tyring to do.. but, did you run the network setup wizard in XP?

To be honest you really dont need the CD. Its a waste of hard drive space and RAM resources. Do this

1.Plug ethernet cable into your computer.
2.Next type this https://192.168.0.1
3.Put admin as password and hit enter
4.Put login given by stupid UK services and hit save at the bottom.
5.Download as much pron as necessary.
