I took the machine to be fixed because the boot manager file was corrupted, just got it back and I notice the battery acts erratic and drains fast. May this be just a coincidence or those guys did something to it? I mean, any chance they did something extra to make sure I go back for another fix, who knows...

Before that the battery worked good, at full charge, in power save mode it gave me 2 hours 10 minutes. Now that I got it back from the shop gives me an hour the most and it charges very slow.

Again, these people were only supposed to reinstall the boot manager. I know some about computer, I am a computer science major, but when I downloaded the service pack 1 for windows, somehow when trying to burn it (which is allowed by microsoft) it screwed up my other computer.

Anyhow, the matter is, may the technician done something to my computer that messed with the battery?
