Thunderstorms

My poor dog is so scared of thunderstorms

She's shaking like crazy, so I'm playing some loud upbeat music to drown out the thunder and I have the lights on. It was so cute, normally she goes to my brother for protection, but he's at work now so she kept going up to his room and looking for him. I tried to settle her down on a bed and hold her for a while but she insists on standing or sitting under a table or desk or something.

Anyone else have pets that are afraid of thunder? What do you do for them?

I have a dog that is scared of the thunderstorm he is so cut. But any who, I usually just hold him when he is scared. If I am not holding him I do the same thing that you do play the music loud so its hard to hear whats going on out side.

My dog Mucho was terrified when a storm came through the other day. It was a big storm and Mucho walked into my room shaking like she was gonna die.

heh , my dog is the same , whenever he hears thunder or firecrackers he goes insane , digging wherever he can and crying like i litle girl.......i just turn the music up and he calms down.....wierd that thunder scares him but he sleeps like a litle baby when i play System of a Down or Manowar

Yeah, my cat is terrified of them. When we get one, she freaks out and runs and hides under the nearest bed. When I do finally get her out, she shakes like crazy

my cats get scared sometimes!! they either hide or jump on my lap!! its so cute!!!!!

Our dog stays in her bed. Looking at the windows. If it's really bad she becomes our shadow.
