If you notice that your kid's eyes are starting to droop or he's starting to get sluggish and tired, just ask him if he's getting sleepy or if he's ready for a nap.

He'll pop right back out of it with an emphatic "No!" and find the energy reserves to start running around some more just to avoid the horrors of going to sleep.

yep. Funny how that doesn't work on adults. Adults will just say "hey, that's a good idea..."

My daughter used to get that kind of spazzy tired like she was just fighting to stay awake and then she'd ask me for something to eat. I'd give her something like a half a sandwich...and she'd fall asleep with it in her hand.
