Law professor and animal rights philosopher Gary L. Francione is the intellectual inspiration of the new vegan-based and rights-based animal rights movement.

He was recently interviewed by The Vegan News - the whole interview is now available. Here Francione talks about the difference between animal welfare and animal rights, and why the vegan-based animal rights movement is a new kid on the block.
