Depends what I'm eating it with. For soup I like thick, for toast I like thin, for a sandwiches I like both and for breadhead it doesn't matter as long as it is old.

We had a lot of leftover bread last year.

In this country, we can only get extra thick ones from cafes or bakers that I don't know of, which sucks because I love those extra thick ones

We have a loaf here called Texas Toast. It's an inch thick, great for French Toast
