Yeah, i know of a lot of good arranged marriages. There are some horror stories but nowadays it is acceptable to get a divorce when one partner is treating the other badly.

I know plenty of marriages gone wrong that were made in "love".

Im not to judge if its a bad or good thing. Provided a person enters into it with full consent and is old enough to know what consent means.

Non arranged marages can fail misrably too i think.

Probably because in cultures with arranged marriages, divorce isn't tolerated.

If I marry someone and have my children with them, I want it to be on the basis of love. Often times, you don't truly love who you're arranged with.

yeah it is nowadays, unless your family are pretty hardline. But most just want what is best for the kids.

Those muslim shame killings are pretty rare outside of taliban territory.

Idk... I kinda like the feeling of security, like:
"Hey, we've been put together, now lets make this work."

But yeah, if you are truly unhappy, you can leave.

It also takes the pressure off of dating. Maybe because I'm no good at it. If I could jump into a serious relationship right off, I would.

Idk... it might be interesting, however, I wouldn't do it to my kids.
