Or, maybe Professionals are failed teachers? This I can see being more likely. Think about it. You can know everything, and you can be the best there is at whatever you do, but if you can't teach someone else how, you could be the last person who does it.

I disagree...

...Some teachers can be awful, yes. There's no denying that. Some teachers have no respect for the kids they teach. Some are constantly grumpy.

Some are genuinely nice people who want to give others an education. Some are interesting to talk to. Some are making the world a bit better by doing their job.

Yes, teaching is not an easy job. Most of the time it's thankless, and the results you get for your efforts tend to be small, like you know, you put the same amount of effort into each student and only one or two percent of the graduate or something like that.

I think that, although somewhat stressful, elementary *grammer* school would be a great place to teach..... although, I can't imagine how sad I would feel if I had to teach children that young who may already be defeated by life.

Yeah, I remember one of my friends saying it was pretty thankless. He was working with working with kids from rough areas too and was saying it was frustrating because there was only so much he could do. He said it just seemed like they REALLY didnt want to learn at all. He ended up going into business.
