Cough syrup vs ex-lax

John was a clerk in a small drug store but wasnt much of a salemen. He could never find the item the customer wanted. Bob, the owner, had about enough and warned John that the mext sale missed would be the last. Just then, a man came in coughing & asked John 4 their best cough syrup. Try as he might, John couldnt find the cough syrup. Remembering Bob's warning, he sold the man a box of ex-lax and told him to take it all at once. The customer did as John said & walked outside & suddenly leaned against a lamp post. Bob had seen John assisting the customer & ring his 1rst sale. He went over & asked John what the man wanted. John said "he wanted something for his cough but i couldnt find cough syrup. I substituted ex-lax, and told him to take it all at once." Bob then shouted angrily "what?!! Ex-lax wont cure a cough you idiot!!!" John said "sure it will" as he pointed to the man leaning on the lamp post "look at him. Hes to afraid to cough.
