Im in work.. and i cant think of another thread to make..

i have to work over every holiday. my fault i know. i chose to do the profession i do and people always need medical advice no matter what time of the year it is. but we are supposed ot be a 24 hour society and also a multi cultural one. so why does everything stop for christmas? we are not all christians anymore. i think if i have to work, then so should everybody else.

Yeah we have 24hr working over christmas too, i just try to grin a bear it and think of the overtime

i had xmas day off and have to work new years eve and new years day. i had to work xmas eve and boxing day.

f***ing NH-f***ing-S... dont care about anyone do they...

they bloody dont. you would think that at the very least people coulf not get ill. just for a few days

you can somewhat celebrate to persae that you STILL have your job......that's something to celebrate bout isn't it?

Yes, you're right of course and I do try to remind myself to be thankful for this job. Even if it is driving me to insanity... lol.

should i say it's good that i shifted course from medical technology to IT?!

I got lucky and only work Thurs and Fri this week and then I am off again until Wed of next week. It sucks that everything cant just shut down for a few days every year. But, if the hospital was closed Christmas Day, my Dad would have died, thank goodness even Doctors and Nurses work the holidays!

as for me after having a 4 days vacation last christmas we will be having another 4 days again this new year!
