can someone please help me with this problem. thanks.

Indicate whether you expect the following salt solutions to have a pH that is acidic, basic, or neutral. write the hydrolysis reaction, if any, that supports your expectation.

a. Li2CO3
b. CaCl2

I don't know much about this, but I know that calcium (Ca) nuetralizes acid, and Carbon (C) is acidic, so I would assume that the first one would be acidic, and the second one would be basic. I could be totally wrong though.

Omg. I remember doing Hydrolysis in school. It actually made me want to smack my head against a table and throw myself down the stairs

I just couldn't do it.
