sharpening knife/fantasy blade

Yoyo, i'm not sure if this is menna be in the crafting part but does anyone know a easy way to sharpen a blade so its razer sharp? a live blade looks much better on the wall, and i collect fantasy weapons.

the only way i've heard of is sandpaper, and the technique with it - can anyone confirm tht? or suggest another way to sharpen it without going to a craftsman?
