Hi my name is Eve and I need minor assistance regarding a question.

The question is:

Critically evaluate the relationship between class structures and work.

If any one can explain their interpretation of this question to me, that would be much appreciated.

Thanks

are you asking what that question means?

it means pretty much what it says. write a in depth, detailed report describing the relationship between the: teacher, way the class is taught, and environment the students are thought in, and compare it to the work that gets done, including quality of the work, speed of work, and overall amount of work done.

Oh hello,

Sorry I forgot to mention, that Class structure means levels in society/social status etc, no the class room.

The idea is to draw on Marx theory of class structure etc.

I just don't understand how on earth class structure relates to work.

Any ideas?

Class structures.....Classes of society?????

Different class structures view their work differently.
I work in a factory where people Value their job, but
they are there to do whatever I tell them to do. They do
not want to think.
On the other hand my wife is a paralegal and everyone acts
so much differently because they are more highly educated
and devoted to their careers.

lower classes are generally less educated and therefore work lesser paid jobs. and don't have access to jobs requiring a high degree of qualifications.

Some people just simply prefer to be like drones and collect a paycheck. They place all of their energy and forward thinking on topics other than their job.
Its really not a bad thing as long as they understand
why their yearly merit increase is not the same as the raise as the real go getter recieves. I have found that
the "tell me what to do person" will b**** the most though.

So the relationship would be that people in higher paying, and more powerful jobs generally speaking come from the upper class. The upper class has more money to pursue higher education thus becoming more qualified for better positions in the work force. The majority of people however are not in the upper class and can not afford this. Unless you want to take out loans and be in debt, or sell a kidney. So the lower class is limited in it's financial, and power struggle within the job market. This creates a nice social stratification that defines class structures in the work environment.
