And after you came back promoting Alex Jones it gave you a bad name among some around here. I don't see how either of these things are relevant to what is being discussed.

wirelessguru1 isn't for real.

He comes here now an then and posts nutty stuff never providing any real substance and never any supporting facts or links.

He' probably does it to get a rise out of people.

I play along because I'm weird and thinks its humorous.

Anyway, back to the voting issue...

I doubt it will happen, but I think it would be great if "we" had a huge voter turnout... something truly massive and with decisive results... "decisive" in the sense of presenting an overwhelming direction that the USA is or wants to go.

This of course isn't likely in a mid-term election.

I would very much like to discuss politics. You, on the other hand, seem perfectly content to call Hawaiians useless and unable to learn.

To be honest he usually calls everyone useless and unable to learn unless the agree with him.

It is very much relevant.
Alex Jones is a true patriot and a nationalist.
Nationalism is winning now. The deep state globalists are being kicked out world wide (see Italy, Brazil, etc, etc)...
Obama (the ex Muslim-in-Chief) also gave Hawaii a bad name. Sad.

Not everyone.

Of course you "exist". Clearly you are caring on a conversation on TFS. If you didn't exist, you couldn't do that.

However, clearly you are presenting as a pretend character who spews forth nonsense in an effort to get a rise out of people.

I don't see how 'Obama and Hirono gave Hawaiians a bad name' is at all relevant to the discussion of whether or not this political landscape we are seeing now is permanent or temporary.

I think it may set a record for midterm turnout, despite voter suppression. I’ve never seen so many campaign ad signs around and mailers like I’m seeing now.

And I expect a very contentious 2020 race, to rival 2000, and think we will have a higher voter turnout then as well. Those who usually steer clear of politics cannot help but be drawn in to the soap opera that currently sits at the Oval Office desk.

A few more detailed predictions, since our wacko conspiracy theorist refuses to do so. Nothing surprising though.

The Dems will take back the House. Investigations and hearings will begin, create a lot of additional soap opera, but, in the end, Trump will remain in office.

We will also hear of an attempt made to subpoena Trump by the Mueller investigation very soon. And likely see the investigation end sometime next year. However, the result will be the same. Lots of headlines, but no impeachment. His immediate family is in trouble though.

The Senate will remain under control of the GOP this election. They will even add seats. It was nearly impossible to overcome this with the overwhelming majority of Senate seats up for re-election being Democrats, but it would have been a lot worse in normal circumstances (without Trump). Which is good for the Democrats’ chances of regaining control in 2020 and especially 2022, when many more GOP-led seats will be up.

Hillary will enter the 2020 race, as will Joe Biden and Michael Bloomberg, further crowding the field already containing Kamala, Booker, Warren, and Sanders. Biden will win the primary and the Trump-Biden debates will be as entertaining as f***.

The outcome of the 2020 Presidential general election will depend heavily on who runs in a third party ticket, which is too early to predict right now. But if it truly is solely Biden versus Trump, Biden will win.

Biden v Trump --- oh god ... .

I don't know who would be better from the Dems, but at this point I'd be hard pressed to vote for either.

I think you are very optimistic, which is not a bad thing.

Hillary & Bernie need to stay out of the fray. All she will do is mobilize Republicans to support Trump. Bernie is a dividing force in the Democrat party. It isn't necessarily his "fault" but it is what it is (IMO).

Elizabeth Warren needs to stay out of the fray this time as well...

Biden will probably run, but he is getting long in the tooth.

Maybe Biden should run with Warren as his VP.

I don't thing Booker is ready yet... but I didn't think Obama was ready either.

In my not so humble opinion, the Democrats need to focus on their platform, their message to the USA and Congress (Senate & House). Take control and maybe even let Trump get re-elected as a 4 year lame duck. The only risk is the Supreme Court.

Some think Trump won't run again. I think he will and will be re-elected.

Real republicans have given up on the USA and are bailing out.

We are entering into a depression of sorts. Not an economic one, but one that hates the natural wonders of our country and detests science. The world will leave us behind. We will still be the biggest bully on the block, but will continue to loose credibility.

China is on the rise.

Europe is mostly stable (contrary to the nay sayers).

Canada and Australia may soon have their day as well.
