I like the libertarian party as it helps small business. The little guy. The party promotes individual rights and freedoms. Long term, capitalism will be the demise of man. It incentivizes greed and deceit as well as treating finite resources as though they will never end. This way of doing things is literally destroying our planet

The libertarian party doesn't give two figs about the little guy. It's not concerned with leveling the business playing field in the slightest. It would quite happily let everything work itself out into a monopoly if it had it's way. It also has no qualms about environment destruction or the preservation of natural resources. What you're describing sounds more akin to Marx's particular brand of Communism than anything Libertarian.

A. Again, you are apparently very confused about what Libertarian views are... but as an authoritarian, I demand that you embrace your confused belief system.

B. As you have stated the question: No. I don't agree.

If I were going to attempt to define my political belief system of the cuff it would be something like a Democratic-Socialist who favors Capitalism that is controlled/guided by laws and regulations that do not allow it to run "rouge".... but that would be just off the cuff and no a full explanation.

A. You are the one that appears to be confused. Go look at the Libertarian website before making ignorant statements.

B. You are an idiot. Look at all the food that gets thrown in the garbage. That is wasteful. If i need to I'll give you the definition of waste. And as far as being destructive.. Look at the Great Barrier Reef. By products of manufacturing have major consequences to all wildlife. Oh and global warming. IDK where you live but I'm sure that even under your rock you noticed the record warm winter we have had. It's not a coincidence. Look at China and their smog. Did you know they use tv screens to broadcast the sunrise in some areas? The smog is so thick they cannot even see the sun. Before you give me some bulls*** about "its not necessarily capitalism" consider that many corporations actually purposefully dump environmental hazards into our water ways because the fines are cheaper than safe removal of the toxic substances. And the bees! You know if they all die we die. But for the sake of maximizing profit we spray plants with toxic carcinogens. Now bees are on their last leg and that is putting it mildly. Growth is the main idea right? Funny, cancer has the same mantra. Even when it ends up destroying the host. We are destroying our host and ourselves in the process.

And i don't care how you define yourself politically. It's comical how people try to define and put themselves in a box w everyone who agrees w them. I don't give a damn if you are a demo-socialist marxist capitalistic. You're still a dumbass if you think the way we are going is the best path forward.

They know that jobs come from small business and yes, they do help the little guy. But thats my only gripe w Libertarians. Too hands off about protecting our environment. Next cycle I'll likely be voting Green party

Not at all.

Capitalism has been good to me and, over all, our country.

That may change under the present president though.

That is probably the most self centered response you could make. What good is money when you can't drink the water. When you can breath the air? You do know money is completely man made right? Its not even real. Its use is real but the thing itself is as real as Nikki Manaj's a** and Donald Trumps sincerity. Money will do no one any good when our planet is uninhabitable. But hey when your dead and gone I bet your kids will be so proud of the money you made as the planet they inherit goes to s***.

And our country? You realize that our prison system is for profit right? In capitalism it's profit over everything. We lock people up in a pin for something as minute as having an herb that grows out of the ground. But I bet your a** has your hand over your heart every time the anthem plays huh? You get goose bumps when everyone chants "land of the free and home of the brave" don't ya? Those fireworks make quite the impact on huh? Free my ass. We lead the world in incarceration bro.

Yea sure we could be getting lined up and shot like in third world countries. No sir, not in America. At least here the cops give you the option to lay on the ground and completely submit. Thats what freedom is isn't it? The freedom to obey or die. God forbid you have your wallet in your hand getting out of your vehicle. Black white or yellow thats reason enough to shoot. Ya know when i was in Afghanistan we had these things called the Rules of engagement. We had 5 steps to go thru before lethal force was allowed. Not in the land of the free tho. Here, its no questions asked. Act a little bit aggressive and you're dead.

So no. As a whole capitalism is a cancer that has destroyed our planet and put a price tag on our inalienable rights as citizens here. You're wrong again buddy.

Yes the part I wrote about "our country" was totally self centered.

I have plenty of water to drink and air to breath, and so do you or you would be dead.

Really!?!?!?! I didn't know that.

Its legal in the state I am in right now.

If you don't want to be incarcerated, don't commit a crime...bro.

Cops have rules of engagement as well, and just as some soldiers have made mistakes over the years so have cops. Comparing Afghanistan's legal system to our is moronic.

Youre wrong. this country has been ravaged. Look at our rivers and lakes. Theyre polluted and unsafe to drink from.

I have plenty of water to drink and air to breath, and so do you or you would be dead.
For a very limited time. And only after filtering water multiple times. Ever heard f the air quality alerts. Fool.

Really!?!?!?! I didn't know that.
Proving it is unnecessary to survival. it is outdated and needs to be replaced

Its legal in the state I am in right now.
Stop being self centered. There is more than one state in the US

If you don't want to be incarcerated, don't commit a crime...bro.
This proves you have very limited perspective. In capitalism the more concentrated the wealth the more black markets will be used as a means to survival. Pssstt. Your ignorance is showing

Even more s*** spewing out of your mouth. I just watched a video showing a man get out of his vehicle holding his wallet. The cop yelled and shot at the same moment. No warning shots like in Afghanistan. America is not a war zone. Afghanistan is. How do Afghanis have more chances than Americans? No comprehensive escalation. Straight to bullets flying. The man broke no laws. He was involved in an accident and the police arrived on the scene and promptly shot him in cold blood. The officer was not indicted or disciplined in anyway. Not only is the system flawed it is outright failing its citizens then attempting to cover its wrongdoings.

You wouldn't have anything if it wasn't for capitalism.
Youre wrong yet again. gosh darn you're on fire. If not for capitalism I might have more time to spend w loved ones. I might have more time to travel the world. Without capitalism I would not be a wage slave. I eouldnt have to do things I hate just for slips of paper. I call them Freedom Vouchers. Without capitalism we wouldn't have to pay for our freedoms. Without capitalism the worst traits in people would not be advantageous

But as usual you are acting the snowflake crybaby with not solutions...just crying...poor little sgt snowflake.
Say what you want but take notes. These are free lessons I'm giving you buddy. And yes this will be on the exam
You can admit you're wrong whenever. You prideful scrotum ornament But you're still deadass wrong

One of the economic tenets of a libertarian philosophy is a hands off laissez-faire approach to economics. Yes, regulation hurts all business, so in that sense, the libertarian helps the little guy. However, relaxed regulation gives power to both the little guy and the corporate giant, and all other things being what they are, the little guy will get crushed out of the market by the giant, and libertarian philosophy has no problem with that outcome.

And leads to the kinds of environmental travesties that Pickle claims to be concerned with...like a recent law (aka regulation) being repealed that now allows for the dumping of coal excess waste in to waterways.

It isn't "capitalism" that is the guilty party, it is uncontrolled or regulated business activities.

Even socialist and communist countries have "businesses" that pollute... China comes to mind.

Oh absolutely. Of course decreased regulation will lead to environmental destruction and cut safety corners. The Libertarian party has only one tool in it's toolbox when it comes to economics. Deregulation. And while that can help business both great and small, I will admit I was thinking about it purely from that perspective. You are right, though, the Libertarian party's stance on regulation is directly in conflict with pickle's stance on the environment.

True but that is how flawed our system is. The regulations have choked out the small businesses. Degregulation chokes out life on this planet. It really is a lose, lose in this wonderful system we have in place. Like I said. Next cycle I will probably put my stock in a different investment. However, third party is the best way to go.

Overall your argument supports my original premiss. This is not "A Mans World.' This world belongs to the wealthy elite. Either way they win and we lose
