Here is the first question that springs to mind: What sort of screening would you propose for those who wish to use one of your suicide clinics?
Can just anyone who feels tired of living show up and get the boot or do they need to undergo some sort of process of selection?
I only ask because there are a lot of folks walking around these days who have others depending on them. There are some folks who have children...where do those children fit into your plan when their mothers and fathers decide they no longer want to be bothered with responsibility and just go slipping off the mortal coil?
How about folks who have committed some kind of crime and haven't faced the justice system yet, or haven't accounted for their wrongdoing through any sort of restitution? If I've stolen a ton of money and hidden it in a Swiss account, I'm sure whoever I stole it from might be interested in keeping me from offing myself with the secret of where their property is.
Let's say also that I've just lost a loved one and want to kill myself. Is your clinic going to let me in and kill me based on a decision made out of passion that may be totally unthinkable to me a week later?
You might argue that in those cases, if I really want to, I'll just find a way to kill myself anyway. Well then I can argue...why do we need the clinics then?
Cheap funded funeral and the serum to put the person down gently with.
If someone isn't going to tell where they hid the funds, they won't anyway - and escaping the Justice System? The Justice System's ultimate penalty is death anyway so they're saving the Justice System the hassle.
Person may have a responsibility to their family but if that responsibility turns into contempt wouldn't it be better for the family to not have to tolerate the abuse that follows?
If someone simply 'Isn't there' you can't force them to be there - but zombies are costly and a burden.
