I never once assumed that all 'smart' people were like the characters in this sitcom TV show.

I know. Anyone with common sense realizes they take a few stereotypes and make those stereotypes larger than life to make us laugh.

I also never once thought the actions of the cast of Jersey Shore were a reflection of all Italians or of people from Jersey Shore or people who have a tan.

And to keep going, its like when American shows show stereotypes of Canadians, if people really think we have dog sled and igloo, well, we know what assuming has done.

You all are fools, it's more of a parody than stereotype-fun-making-buisness!

Well, sir. I highly take offense to that.

No, people always assume everyone of us is related or that I should maddeningly automatically like any Indian guy I see. I actually really like his character.

Notice that I didn't ask you what you think of him, mostly because I realize he's just a character on TV.

Stereotypes based on nationality or skin color are rarely true because those labels encompass millions of individual people and often are based on cultural memes or political agendas. Whereas the personality of the nerd/geek is very innate and can transcend political borders, cultures, skin tone, etc.
