i am kinda worried about letting my cat outside

cats are smart and they know their way home, the real worries are people, other cats and cars. If you are on a busy road or your neighbours are not nice people then dont let the cat out. If your neighbours are reasonable and you are off a main road the cat should be ok.

If you like you can actually take the cat out for walks. This way the cat can have some variety in its life and learn a bit about the area.

I've had both inside and outside cats. While I truly believe that my outdoor cats had a more "exciting" life, I am not sure the same applied to me. I worried all the time because they were out too late or didn't come home for 3 days. Having indoor cats eliminates all of that stress.

i am kinda worried about letting my cat outside it has never been outside before and then my sister let out on the balcony and ever since then it wants to go out all the time but i am worried that it will take off and get lost and not come back.
cuz i have let it out there slowly and watching it to see if it can fit underneath the balcony cuz my sister said she didnt think it could fit under there but today i was watching it out there and it did and i freaked out and went out there and grabbed it damn its fast but my mom told me that if it takes off it will get lost and i will have to go to the vet and pick it up cuz it has one of those tracking chips in its neck so if it takes off somewhere and gets lost they can find it.
but my mom said they would charge me to pick it up.

Cats live where they want to live. If you show love and affection to your kitty plus have food and water your kitty will always come home. They are explorers and curious about things. It's a cat thing. Most of all, do whatever you need to do to make YOU feel good.

Cats are clever. They also like exploring. Keeping it in all the time out of fear is basically a little cruel.
