My parakeet that I had after college got out of its cage once, flew into the ceiling fan. Then decided walking around on the floor was a better option.

That bird either loved or hated Eddie Vedder. He would squawk at even just a few words by him. And would not calm down until at leas a minute after it stopped. This was in the late 90's

If you had "lost" a cockatiel, I'd say i found it. After the parakeet died, (spoiler alert: not from the fan) I went out side and a cockatiel landed on my head and would not leave. We had him a few years.

We moved apartments after we got him. just a couple miles, no big deal. I loaded his cage in the neon coup, covered it with some fabric. Birds are generally quiet when covered, it worked for him before. Figured I could make it safe and uneventfully.

I started the car, pulled out of the parking spot and better man came on. I really thought one of us was going to die on that trip.

Lol, grammar fail. No, he was only on my head for a few minutes. Then he moved to my hand. We couldn't get him to fly away, or find out who his owner was, so we kept him "safe" by letting him live with us. I was apparently running a home for lost animals.
