The purest form of the game is obviously English football, soccer, .
Then we have Rugby, I call it throw-ball, it's so rarely kicked.
Then American football, grid-iron, sorry Yanks, your game is so ritualised it's weird to outsiders. It doesn't flow, it's a disjointed series of strategic plays, boring as watching paint dry.
Now, if you want to see REAL football, like a Roman Arena, broken bones, flowing blood, sheer guts and determination, all at incredibly high speed, you need to watch Australian Rules, a game for ACTION!
And we don't need body-armour, that's for weaklings!
Here's some highlights.

Is this not just a poorly veiled stab at trolling?

Actually, no, and I'm still figuring out exactly what trolling is, it seems a grey area.
This is our national sport, and it's everything I claimed.

That's the one, where they all wear helmets and body armour. To achieve a full game it goes all day nearly, they stop every time the ball moves, it's rather tedious.

My point is that, saying American Football is more boring, is like saying stamp collecting is more exciting than riding a rollercoaster.

2-3 hours. Not that much longer than one of your soccer games. And don't even pretend their aren't stops in your game. I guess everyone is entitled to their own opinion though.

C'arn the Crows! Bring back the Biff! Up there ya mongrel, in there and Fight!
There's nothing else on the planet like it for sheer blood-lust these days, and there's an element of skill that's not to be knocked, hard as it may be for some to see!
