When was the first time you really fell in love?

Last year. And he was a total w**ker.

17 and 27..with the same person

Freshmen year in college. He was sweet, had a great sense of humor, wonderful family (parents and other family, not kids of his own), kind of an authority figure. It wasn't until 4 years later I realized the authority figure was too authoritarian and he was trying to control my whole life.

About 3 years ago. And we are no longer together and finally being able to be happy without him was the hardest thing I have ever had to do.

But now I am happy and wish him nothing but the best.

No worries. Like I said, he was trying to control me. Extremely jealous and possesive. I couldn't have any friends outside of him or his friends because the guys were all trying to sleep with me and the girls would get me into situations where guys would try and sleep with me. He had no justification either as I have never been unfaithful in my entire life, and he had no reason to think I would be.
I realized that he was going to propose any day and I didn't want to have to tell him no. I didn't love him anymore so I broke it off.
I am much better off with a guy now that actually *gasp* trusts me not to sleep around. lol
