makeup used as new tan?

Today I was in the front yard fixing the sprinkler on the grass and there was these 2 younger girls walking by, the sprinkler got on the one girl and she stopped wiping her face a few feet away. I looked at her and her makeup was coming off and underneath the makeup her skin was really white. I also noticed her hands were really white just like how her face was as it was melting off.. so I am wondering.. are kids using makeup to look tan? I thought makeup was to enhance and cover up lil marks or something not to be used as a mask?

Bronzer perhaps?

I dunno.. it was really dark and she was very light.

I'm ridiculously pale right now mostly because I dislike the beach in the summer time, unlike most of my other friends

sorry to be blunt there but I beleive making yourself look like a leather from my grans gucchi bag doesnt look healthy or attractive and it certinly looks fake if you were born with natrual skin then yeah thats fine but people trying to make themselfs looks all bronze I just dont get it I rather be a pastey face thanks

I don't mind a tan in the summer, but I would never fake it. And during the winter it looks a little bizarre since everyone usually hides indoors

I am pale and I go to the beach every so often i use a lot of sun cream and stay in the shade a lot espically when I live in a country that has sun all year round i am bound be be prepared for it health wise

That's ridiculous! I go outside read a book put some sun tan lotion on and soak up the sun hoping for a tan and i usually succeed. Putting make up all over your body to make you look tan?? That's stupid! What if they want to go swimming or something?

She probably used one of those self tanning lotion thing. But alot of the time it just comes out looking orange.

yeah, I don't see the problem with being light skinned.. I am naturally darker because I'm italian. I don't think sun beds are worth the risk of cancer but believe me I use to go to them and also worked at one. I saw older women come in the tanning bed salon very dark who would go everyday, it really didn't look good at all. I stopped using the tanning bed because I didn't need it, waste of money, causes cancer, you eventually with get more wrinkles when you get older, and leatherly skin also when you go too much and get older...and other such things it can cause.. sun is healthy for you though.. a lil ammount everyday.. but if kids are using makeup to look darker then I think that is going a lil too far..

haha my friend used one of those and it came out orange and all spotted.. looked like she had a skin diease which isn't good..

I dont think there aware of the dangers either that or they just dont listen

I hate this heat, it's rediculous. Don't know how you can live in a country where it is hot all year round? I can't even coup with a few days let alone all the time.
