What has been the most successful type of government through out history?

There have been many debates about what government is the most successful but I want to know what other people actually think and WHY.

If conservation, happiness & balance is your definition- you'll be looking at an indigenous government.

Ottoman Empire: Caliphate (Islamic history), the political-religious state....a so called aristocratic–constitutional republic that pretty much operated as a monarchy.

vs.

Roman Empire: A republic for a time, but mostly an empire... i.e. essentially a monarchy.

vs

The British Empire: More or less a democracy.

But if you go with the 10 ten longest/most enduring (in terms of world power, resources, control over geography and military power)...

Monarchy/Empire would historically be the most successful throughout history.

Most successful, limited capitalist government.

Most screwed up (except for the elite), socialist/communist derived autocracy/monarchy/dictatorship/bureaucracy, or anarchy.

Most First Nations worked well.
