Wearing High heels?

Does wearing high heels stunt growth?
A teacher told everyone in the class that wearing high heels stunts growth. Is it true?

It can cause osteoarthritis which causes your bones to compress and you get shorter.
There are many other problems, like the ankle I broke.

Ehm... By the time you are old enough to wear high heels, your growth is complete. (Unless you see 12-year-olds in heels in your neck of the woods, which is a whole other issue.) So it's all a lot of old tosh.
