Two drugs: Marijuana & alcohol.

Which one does the *most* damage to society?

Drugs dont damage society. People destroy society.

can't really compare them, the use of the two drugs is rather different.

in simple terms, i think its fair to say alcohol is more damaging not just to the people who drink it, but to the rest of society.

but before anyone gets over excited about how alcohol is "more" damaging, remember the use of alcohol is many times greater than the use of cannabis.
so it stands to reason that if the use cannabis became more widespread, the problems associated with cannabis would become more widespread.

the interesting question would be, if both were used by roughly the same amount, which one would then be the most damaging?.
i still suspect alcohol would be, but i wouldn't want to bet any money on it.

Intolerance of others habits is the worst drug of all.

I really don't think either of them have much of a different effect on society. Now, if you want to talk about which one is worse for you, it is alcohol hands down. Alcohol reeks havoc on the liver and kidneys and if you choose to drink beer, as I do, most beers contain as many or more calories than a coke. Now I have never sat down and polished off a 12pk of coke, but I have done it with beer plenty of times.

Violence and intolerance arent drugs.

But they equal.................

Alchohol is. Well honestly, I don't think either one damages society. But alchohol can be harmful and addictive. And people can't control themselves as well. So given the choice, weed would be better.

People don't get stoned and beat their spouses. People don't go on stoned rampages. People don't smoke too much and call in sick with hangovers. I think the worst thing pot leads to is the munchies! And lost wallets, carkeys, etc.
