My family and I recently ate at a Vietnamese Noodle Soup place. My mom and I ordered hot tea, and after a few cups asked the waitress what type it was. She said it was a German...something tea? It sounds like she said German STING tea, but I couldn't understand the second word - though she did confirm when I asked "German?"
She also said it's not available here (though I don't know if she means all of America or just locally in Oklahoma City). She said they (the restaurant) get it from her country - I'd guess she meant Vietnam. I've been trying to search for it on the internet but I can't seem to find anything. I'm pretty sure she didn't say ginseng tea - it was definately two words.
any help would be very much appreciated. The leaves were a dark green color, and the tea was a deep gold (deeper than what Oolong is) and it seemed to have a floral taste - my mom thought lavender.
