I'm kinda looking thru the site... but haven't registered or anything...
Has anyone here used to sell anything? Are the fees reasonable? I'm trying to sell MASS DVDs... would it be better to sell them BULK or individually this way?
Are there any other sites that would make it any easier?
Any (SERIOUS) advice would be appreciated... thanks!

Selling one at a time has the advantage of making more money, but the P+P could be more.

It's best to search on there first, with the DVDs you want to sell to have a look at the average prices and undercut it somewhat.

I'm sorry, 'P+P'??? I've never done anything like this before, lol. I was looking at the auction format they have... I'm not 100% sure I'll even go this route... I've emailed some pawnshops that may buy them bulk... Plus posted on craigslist.

P+P is the British equivalent of shipping and handling.

eBay is definitely the place to do it. I've sold hundreds of things on eBay.

I've got an old laptop which I'm considering selling, no idea if anyone would want to buy it as it's quite old. Going to collate all my disused things to see if I can make any cash from it.

Postage and packaging.

Ebay is a good site to use and doesn't take much time to get used to it.

Something else you should think about is would you rather just have some money quick or would you rather go for a bit more money but have the hassle of selling one thing at a time?

My mom has sold alot on ebay, including all my g'mas hummels that went into the estate.
She's had nothing but positive results with it.

Well, I had the idea a while ago... But now I'm just gathering like half of what I had planned to sell, because *ARGH* my cell phone is shut off! And both my Mom and my brother are on it as well, so it's quite high and we're all broke at the moment! (wahwahwah, lol) So partly, in hopes of some quick cash... and then the next round, see what I can do with it... we'll see how it goes! Thanks again!

No. The fee paid depends on the final value of the item. It would only be $20 for an item of hundreds of dollars.

So you DON'T need to pay a fee of some amount to sell on ebay?

I think you need to reread the previous post. I clearly stated that you pay a fee to sell on eBay.

I've made money on Ebay selling secondhand and antiquarian books, vintage china and jewellery and other antique/retro/vintage stuff. Look through the categories and see what's selling at the moment because it can vary enormously. If you've got a particular market/niche in mind, look and see how many other people are selling the same type of items or in the same category and what they are charging so you can set your prices properly. I've had return customers and people who have asked me to source items for them so it can definitely work if you're selling the right stuff or willing to do searches for people that you've added to a customer list.

good input here. I just uncovered a box of old LP albums.
Was almost ready to toss them in the garbage can (still trying to downsize the house here, toooo much junk) --
then decided HEY these might be worth something, even if
they go to a pawn shop. I already did a little research on amazon and ebay. Need to research craig's list next. I have over 40 albums (America's, Carpenters, Judy Collins,
Chicago, Eagles, Earth Wind & Fire, Peaces & Herb, K.C. & the Sunshine Band, Mamas and the Papas - to name a few!).
